Halo Top Flavors in basket

Halo Top's newest 7 flavors have finally been released to Meijer stores. Halo Top, the current number one selling ice cream brand (even above Ben&Jerry's at this point), is straight killing the ice cream market. Now with 24 flavors in total, there are options to tickle your fancy no matter your preferences.

I couldn't wait for this blog post. Heck, I didn't even wait for Adam to try the flavor and chime in with his thoughts--because I know what the will be. Forget everything you think you know about the best flavors. Candy bar is King. Consistency, chunks, flavor; it has it all.

Previously I had ranked Sea Salt Caramel as my favorite, which has a consistency better than any flavor and great flavor. It feels and tastes like the real deal (full sugar and fat versions). Candy Bar swoops in with a similar, unbelievably creamy consistency, a flavor reminiscent of a Snickers bar, and chunks--lots of chunks.

Surprisingly, even though it is one of the higher calorie flavors, it has less carbs than many of the other 360cal choices (slightly more fat, presumably from the peanuts).

Candy bar has a chocolate ice cream base, a chocolate swirl (in good quantities), and roasted peanut chunks that hit you with almost every bite. One of my complaints of previously chunk-filled flavors (such as Red Velvet and Cookie Dough) was the lacking amount of chunks. Halo Top seems to have improved in this aspect, because I certainly didn't have to search for the peanuts. Present but not overpowering, and paired perfectly with the chocolate swirls.

Did I mention, it tastes like a f*cking SNICKERS. You know those Snickers ice cream candy bars? This is like that, but with many more gainz.

Candy Bar is ranked as my #1 pick of all of the Halo Top flavors.

Overall Score: 9.5/10 - a must try for any Halo Top fan.

Stay-tuned for more reviews. There are some close contenders (looking at you Cinnamon Roll and Pancakes & Waffles).

"Macrofied": The process of manipulating ingredients to produce a better nutritional profile, usually involving increasing protein while controlling or decreasing carbs and fats.

#2

Truvia, or erythritol, is a sugar alcohol that tastes like sugar but has very few calories. It is absorbed almost entirely in the small intestine and is excreted through urine. Erythritol has been deemed safe for consumption, and does not cause digestive issues like other sugar alcohols in quantities less than 50g per day.
