Birthday Cake Ice Cream Pie

As personal trainers, we are BIG fans of Halo Top Ice cream. If you haven't tried any of their products yet, you're late. Get on it, NOW. You're welcome. For those of you who have been riding the Halo Top train with us for awhile now will appreciate this ice cream pie recipe using their Birthday Cake Flavor! This recipe originally appeared on the Halo Top website, but you know we had to up the ante with some additional protein. Give it a try and let us know how you like it!

Ingredients:
1 pint of Halo Top Birthday Cake (softened)
1 scoop vanilla whey protein
1 pre-made graham cracker pie crust
1 box sugar-free instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup Carbmaster vanilla milk (can also use skim milk)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ cup sprinkles
Non-fat whipped cream (optional)
Directions:
Let the ice cream soften at room temperature. Scoop ice cream into pie crust and evenly spread into a flat layer. Freeze until the ice cream is firm (about 1 hour).
In a separate bowl, combine protein powder, vanilla pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until pudding consistently forms. Add in most of the sprinkles and fold into pudding.
Spread pudding layer over ice cream layer. Top pudding with sprinkles and freeze for two more hours, or until pie is set.
Remove pie from freezer. Top with whipped cream and more sprinkles, if desired. Enjoy!
