The Active Indulgence team loves donuts. We absolutely LOVE donuts. So it's no surprise we jumped on this recipe for chocolate peanut butter-glazed donuts that are less than 100 calories per donut!

Ingredients

Donut

  • 1/2 cup raw oats, blended into a powder

  • 2 scoops vanilla whey protein

  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

  • 1/8 tsp. baking soda

  • 1/2 cup stevia (or truvia)

  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin

  • 1/2 cup egg whites

Glaze

  • 2 scoops chocolate whey protein

  • 2 tbsp. PB2 (powdered peanut butter)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven at 350 degrees.

  2. In a bowl, combine all ingredients for the donuts. Pipe into a donut pan.

  3. Bake 8-9min maximum.

For Glaze

  1. Combine whey protein and pb2 in a bowl.

  2. Add small amounts of water and mix with a fork until glaze thickens.

  3. Dip the donuts into the glaze, and allow to sit at room temperature for a few minutes (this allows the glaze to harden slightly).

  4. Enjoy!

"Macrofied": The process of manipulating ingredients to produce a better nutritional profile, usually involving increasing protein while controlling or decreasing carbs and fats.

#2

Truvia, or erythritol, is a sugar alcohol that tastes like sugar but has very few calories. It is absorbed almost entirely in the small intestine and is excreted through urine. Erythritol has been deemed safe for consumption, and does not cause digestive issues like other sugar alcohols in quantities less than 50g per day.
